ABSTRACT

Objective@#To explore relationship among bullying victimization, psychological traits and suicide ideation of middle school students, and to provide suggestions for school bullying and suicide prevention for adolescents.@*Methods@#A total of 3 635 students of 7-9th grade from 5 junior middle schools were enrolled and investigated with the Olweus Bully/Victim Questionnaire (OBVQ), psychological traits questionnaire for middle school students and suicide ideation questionnaire.@*Results@#Prevalence of bullying victimization was 28.34% of middle school students, while the prevalence of verbal, relational and physical bullying were 22.59%, 12.05% and 7.54%, respectively. Boys had significantly higher rates of bullying victimization than girls (χ2=88.92,94.29,7.69,P<0.01). Bullying victimization was positively associated with suicidal ideation (r=0.21, P<0.01), while associated with psychological traits (r=-0.17, -0.22, P<0.01). Psychological traits had a moderating effect on the relationship between bullying victimization and suicidal ideation (β=-0.04, P<0.05).@*Conclusion@#Psychological traits can buffer the adverse effects of bullying victimization on suicidal ideation, and the critical role of psychological traits in the maintenance and development of adolescent mental health should be emphasized.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the treatment methods and prognosis of early infection and delayed infection after intramedullary nail fixation. Methods Data of 22 cases of postoperative infections after intramedullary nail from January 2013 to August 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 18 males and 4 females aged from 20 to 72 years old, with an average age of 46.8 years.14 cases were tibias and 8 cases were femurs. In the early infection group,6 cases showed swelling, heat and pain in the affected area with drainage and pus.In the late infection group,12 cases showed sinus formation and 4 cases showed no sinus tract.According to whether the infection occurred within six weeks,it was divided into early infection and delayed infection groups.Of 6 patients in early infection group, there was 1 case of septic shock which underwent removal of intramedullary nails, debridement and antibiotic bone cement stick implantation.5 cases were retained intramedullary nail and underwent local debridement treatment.Late infection occurred in 16 patients. One patient with tibia infection was given partial dressing to heal the fracture. Then the intramedullary nail was removed and intramedullary debridement was performed. Two patients with poor general condition, the intramedullary nails were removed and debridement was performed.Calcium sulphate cement was implanted and fixed with external fixation. The remaining 13 cases were treated with debridement and antibiotic cement stick implantation. We compared the differences between early and late infections of internal fixation, infection control, fracture healing, and secondary fracture fixation. Results Of the 6 patients with early infection,1 patient with septic shock removed intramedullary nails to control infection. After infection controlled, the fracture was treated with intramedullary nailing.Of the 5 patients with retained intramedullary nails,2 patients' infection were controlled and 3 were uncontrolled. After removal of the intramedullary nails the infection was control. The success rate of retaining intramedullary nails was 33.3% (2/6).Late infection occurred in 16 cases and infection was all controlled. The fractures healed in 22 patients. The fracture healing time of 6 patients with early infection was 2-6 months, with an average of 3.67±2.08 months. The fracture healing time of 16 patients with late infection was 2-4 months (average 3.2±0.79) months. Conclusion Patients with early bone infections after femoral and tibial intramedullary nail surgery may attempt debridement therapy with retained intramedullary nails, but the failure rate is high.If the intramedullary nail fails to remain, follow the treatment of patients with delayed bone infection. For patients with delayed bone infection, because the fracture has not yet healed, thorough debridement is used after the removal of internal fixation, then calcium sulfate or antibiotic bone cement stick should be implanted and fixed with external fixation. For the second phase,we may choose plate, intramedullary nail or external fixation to fix the fractures according to the soft tissue condition. All of the fixation methods could provide good fracture healing.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect of health education on behavior, blood pressure control and psy-chological factors in patients with hypertension. Methods 800 patients with hypertension in Yanling County Hospital were selected and randomly divided into management group(n =600)and control group(n =200)according to ran-dom numerical table method. The patients of the two groups were carried out regular hypertension health education and follow -up,and the health records were established. The management group was carried out individually and one to one health education and management.6 months after intervention, changes in behavioral habits compliance, blood pressure control, depression and anxiety self -rating scale of the two groups were assessed. Results Before the intervention, there were no statistical differences between the two groups(all P >0.05).After 6 months intervention, the compliance ratios of low salt diet, smoking cessation and limit alcohol, appropriate exercise, rational use of drugs, monitoring blood pressure, regular review in management group were 92.6%,85.3%,90.3%,93.3%,89.6%, 95.6%,and those of the control group were 56.0%,53.0%,63.0%,52.5%,49.0%,67.0%,the differences were statistically significant(χ2 =146.37,89.23,116.52,178.29,152.21,159.38,all P <0.01 ).The awareness rate, treatment rate and compliance rate of hypertension in the management group were 94.0%,95.3%,89.6%,which of the control group were 63.0%,51.5%,42.5%,the differences were statistically significant(χ2 =121.54,218.60, 193.67,all P <0.01).The self -rating depression scale and self -rating anxiety scale in management group were (40.12 ±10.34)points,(39.20 ±7.78)points,respectively,and those in the control group were (46.60 ±9.56)points, (44.54 ±8.96)points,the differences were statistically significant (t =7.84,20.64,all P <0.01 ).Conclusion Individualized health education around drug therapy can improve patients'behavioral habits and psychological factors, increase the rate of blood pressure, and thus improve the prognosis of patients with hypertension.

ABSTRACT

Objective To construct the recombinant plasmid pET32a-AKT1 and express human AKT1 protein using prokaryotic expression system .Methods Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) was employed to amplify the gene AKT1 in coding region and integrated it with pET 32a plasmid ,following by transforming it into Escherichia coli DH5α and prokaryotic strains BL21(DE3) .Isopropyl-beta-D-thiogalactopyranoside(IPTG) was adopted to induce its expression .Sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE ) and Western-blot were used for protein identification .Results Complete fusion of target gene and plasmid was observed .The recombinant plasmid pET32a-AKT1 was successfully transferred into the strain DE3 . After IPTG induction ,protein with relative molecular mass 70 000 was expressed by DE3 .Conclusion The recombinant plasmid pET32a-AKT1 is constructed successfully and AKT 1 protein is completely and efficiently expressed by prokaryotic strain DE 3 .
